Hello you guys, noob here ;D
I installed TP on my brand new board, and i'm getting a fatal error!
Here it is:
Quote
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare tpsummary() (previously declared in /home/bmwe36b/public_html/Sources/Profile.php:2942) in /home/bmwe36b/public_html/Sources/Profile.php on line 2992
This happens when anyone wants to see somebody profile, and when i try and do a search of IP in "Who is online" block ??? :-\
Anyone has a clue to sort this one out?? :)
Latest version of both tp and smf ;)
This has happened to many other users including myself and you should've used the TP Search but since the topic is wide open...
It says Cannot redeclare tpsummary
That means that the same code is in Profile.php twice! So look for duplicates in that file, if not that file try Load.php
When installing TP everyone seemed to have the same problem with the profile :D
Hope this helps! :D
Brianjw
Thank you ;) It did solved my problem :D
And i had done a search before i post, but i didn't got any result at all... Must had used bad keywords :-/
Anyway, thankx ;) Solved :D
well just search for like redeclare and something might come up!
:)
No problem I am glad to help :D
When searching make sure you search from the forum index or choose advanced search. In SMF if you search from within a board without going to the advanced search it will only search that board.
This is kind of a bug in TP because everyone who installs TP makes the profile redeclare the code in Profile.php! ???

LOL, i'm not that kind of php programmer to know those keywords :)
I've made my search by typing "profile error" or "user profile error" lol
That's why i didn't got any result :D
But thank you again ;)
Well just think about what's in your error, use one of the words from the error like redeclare. Any words from the error and if that error has been posted then something should come up related to your problem ;)
oh, sorry about that :-\ Still learning my ways arround SMF
I'm used to search only for thread titles, that's why i forgot to search by error ::)
cheers ;)

You mean still learning your ways arround TP, lol :2funny:
Both :2funny: :2funny:
But i will get the hang of it :P
It's easy peesy lemon squeesy to do! :2funny: :2funny: ;D
The duplicate code is an error for the people that used the hacked version to install before Bloc released the updates I think.
IchBin, that wasn't the hacked version that had those problems. I don't even know where the hacked version is but I downloaded TP097.zip from TinyPortal.net (here) and got the TP duplicate error on the profile after installing it. It is in the thread that TP got released, i posted that same error in there ;)

Exactly ;) I've done almost exactly as brianjw says (except I've posted the error here by mistake :-\) SO it was no hacked version of TP at all ;) Unless your releasing hacked versions :2funny: Witch i don't believe ;)
Did either of you install TP 0.9.6 or 0.9.7 before they were released to work with 1.1 and 1.1.1 ?
Don't know, but i can tell you that i installed the latest TP version, that is the 0.9.7 the day before yesterday ;) Does it help?
What I'm saying is, did either of you use the work around to get TinyPortal to work when it wasn't compatible with the new SMF versions?
I had that this when I first installed but it seemed to be solved by me simply copying the file from the .zip over manually. It saved scrabbling about in the file trying to fix it. Obviously the installing didn't go right in this respect.

Yes I modified the package-info.xml as JPDeni told me how to do it. :)
And that is what I was saying. The errors you're getting are because you did that. I think....
I think that would be a strange reason for the profile to get a redeclare error... ???
Well i'll listen to IchBin because he knows a hell of alot more than I know about this coding. smf/tp environment and all the coding etc.
;)

Sorry for getting back 2 you this late, but i havn't done anything to both smf and tp ;)
Just downloaded it, and install it via package manager!! That's all i've done ;)
