Title: problem installing TinyPortal into SMF 1.1.1

I just installed SMF v1.1.1 and the latest TinyPortal. When i upload the package, all seems fine. Message says to restart forums, when i do, i have the forums only and no portal. ??????

ur site dosent seem to contain the package on it

are u sure u used the package manager to upload it?

Also please note you should not delete the package after installation (in case u did that)

i just deleted the entire site and im trying to reinstall. I would like it installed into my root.   www.mydomain.com instead of mydomain.com/forums   when i try in forums, it seems to work but not in root where i would like it

actually hold that thought - ill have to do this for u later - i have to run out right now - i should be back in a few hours - have to go out for the morning prayer and then breakfast with a friend :D

but in the meanwhile hopefully someone else from the support team can pick up this thread :up:

I have the exact same issue. Install package, apply package, click restart forums and nothing is there. If I uninstall, all files fail as if nothing was installed in the first place. If I try to reinstall it does the exact same thing. Says its successful then nothing shows. The zip is in the packages folder. Im stuck.

There must be a bug. I upgraded to SMF 1.1.1 and then added the TP mod. My forums went entirely blank after I clicked the restall button. Only a reinstall of SMF seems to work. I am using the default SMF theme when installing.

I did a complete reinstall (with the old database) and followed the FAQ which said to chmod everything to 777. This time it went fine, but I had no packages added before I added TP. Maybe there was an incompatible package...

the larger packages must always be added 1st

larger packages are:
- tiny portal
- arcade

Actually Arcade is quite "small", it doesent alter that many files from SMF, it have it's own files more or less now ???
