Title: TP compatibility existing themes
Post by: apc on December 28, 2006, 11:14:52 PM
Hello,

I have several SMF forums, all converted from PHPBB which was a great move, including a very big forum.

I would like to install TP on my big forum but before I do I need to ensure that it is compatible with my existing theme and that my existing theme will also become the home page theme.

Also, can TP be installed and tested before replacing the existing home page?

Thanks very much.

which smf theme do you use ? maybe crip allready converted it. if not you can ask in Crips "subboard" for conversion.

If your theme is a "selfmade" one and it's not available for download then you also should ask Crip for help.

---------

TP cannot be installed in a "preview mode" - therefor you best install a new empty smf somewhere and TP to test it.

I am using the DilberMC theme:

http://www.harzem.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=45 (http://www.harzem.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=24&Itemid=45)

Also; does the portal use the forum editor? I need to add tables etc. for formatting?

The DilbertMC theme is allready converted for TP 0.97 / SMF 1.1

TP uses the FCKeditor which is a full WYSIWYG - Editor for the Download and Article Section. The rest keeps original SMF

Great! Is the theme conversion a separate download or is it already integrated? If download can I please have the URL?

Also; does TP include the excellent drop down menu system of this site?

The theme is a separate download - just look into crip's board here - there you can find it.

The drop down menu belongs to the definition theme. it's not a standard of the portal but of the named theme.

Thanks! Got it now.
