Hi everyone, I have been very busy with the holiday preparation but I do wish to give all of you this poem that I wrote.

Christmas Memories

Reflecting on this time of year
Yes, Christmas is in the air
With all my love ones gathering near
With delightful memories to share!

I remember all sorts of things
From fruitcake to apple pie
Of carols that we sing
To snowbirds on the fly.

From evergreen trees on snow covered hills
To green wreaths tied up with red bows
From candles shining brightly on windows sills
To softly falling snow.

Children are skating on frozen pools
From roofs icicles dangle.
Holiday vacation from school
And Christmas lightsââ,¬â,,¢ in a tangle!

When the Church bells toll
Ringing across the land
Recalling the news previously told
Of peace on Earth and goodwill towards Man

In the fireplace, the Yule log is burning
In the kitchen, cookies are baking
Pleasing aromas are drifting and churning
While a long winterââ,¬â,,¢s nap I am taking.

A fir tree decorated in red and gold
With a glimmering star at its peak
A candy cane each branch can hold
With wonderful gifts spread beneath.

Noses are red from the cold
Cheeks are pretty and pink
Mittens to warm the bold
And scarves to warm the meek!

Carolers are singing at our door
And Mr. Snow Man is frozen hard
Ice crystal are melting on the floor
And thereââ,¬â,,¢s a reindeer in our yard.

The goose is roasting over an open fire
Apples and oranges are in a bowl
While listening to stories of which we never tire
Or by whom they are being told.

Sipping a glass of sweet apple cider
While silently bearing in mind
The solitary Christmas spider
In a corner spinning her line.

I recall she is the source
Of our fortune thru the New Year
If she survives the winter of course
Good luck will all ways be near.

All these things mark a special event
That we treasure every year
We knew just where our troubles went
When we drank that cup of cheer.

By tomorrow Santa will have come and gone
And happy will our little ones be
They will play the whole day long
There beside the Christmas tree.

So of all the things that comes to mind
Of things I wish to say
Be sweet, gentle and kind
And have a very Merry Christmas day!
