I manually installed TP 0.9.7 with SMF 1.1.1 using the modded files from G6's thread. Everything went perfectly, and I owe everyone here a big thank you for this awesome CMS. Unfortunatley, under my admin control panel there are no TP related panels. At first I suspected I must not have replaced the correct files, so I tried it again. I know this must have been covered before, but unfortunatley I was unable to come accross a fix for this. I still have access to my TP management from a control on my home page, but it's rather annoying not being able to navigate there through the control panel. Any help is appreciated, and I apologize in advance for not spotting a fix to this. I would try to solve the issue myself, but it's essential that I get my forum moved over and functioning to my new website within the next few days.
edit:
One of our admins pointed out that he was able to view the panel. After the deletion and recreation of my account it worked fine. I'm still unaware of the cause, and I feel rather idiotic at the moment. You live and learn I suppose..
I am facing the exact same dilema! When I am in Admin account, I cannot see the side blocks, and when I go to Admin panel, I can't see TP Admin things. If I am right, other members with Admin permission can probably see the TP Admin things. Hmm!? This is a very serious bug!
Can you provide a link to your site?
It's not a bug, it's you that have to make some changes.

I have posted above that I did try that :D
EDIT:
Wrong thread.
Here is my info, I have the site locally, so I cannot make you get access to it.
Server: Local Server. Using EasyPHP, it have Apache, MySQL, PHP, PhpMyAdmin.
SMF: 1.1.2. I recently upgraded it from 1.1.1. Every file is up to date, plus the other language files that I use.
TinyPortal: 0.9.8.3.
Mods installed: Streaming 3. It just adds 4 icons in the posting script, that way, when you click on them it have BBcode ready for posts that want YouTube, GoogleVideo, other hosted files, QuickTime, content within their posts. |
You did post that, but not in this thread, you have crossposted so how should we known that ?
Which theme are you using? Which theme did you use to install the TP mod?
Me? I am using the defualt. The Core theme. It is not even edited! All my edited stuff got flushed in the upgrade.
I have centered the issue: Only the main administrator cannot see the TP stuff. From the small boxes in mean, to the TP Administrator - admin - panel.
Guys, do you have a fix for this? I really want to keep my administrator and his posts... I do not want to delete him.
Manuall package for TP
Read in the Docs on how to manually install TP.

That may be a "solution" but it is still a bug that (we) the user base and the developers should be able to debug.
How do you sum that up ?
When you update SMF, all the mods will be gone if they touch any of the SMF files, and TP uses several.
So when you upgrade SMF, you have to reinstall TP in order to get it back to work as you had before.
So if you reinstall the latest TP, you will have it working just like before.
Ehh, no? Sorry, you didn't quite get my situation.
The SMF forum that I have installed TP on, have never seen TP. I first, upgraded that forum, then I installed TP.
TP works fine with other administrators, but not the first one, the one that I used to install the mod - TinyPortal.
The "Admin" account you installed TP with wasent the "group 1" that you become when you install SMF ?
If you have another Admin account for the forum then the actuall Head Admin account, you probably have missed that you have to set the blocks and articles to show for that Admin group you are in.
Edit the blocks and check the admin group you are in and the block will show up.

Right on! Sweetheart, you are simply amazing. You figured the thing out! I spoke to the owner of the website, and he have been playing around with Permissions and Member Groups. I fixed it.
Uhm, thanks and sorry? Yeah, sorry. I may have sounded a little ignorant there...
G6 is not a man .. :2funny: Glad you got it though.
I have the same bug.. but im on some old unstable stuff ;D
Anyway my solution was to make adminblock only show up in admin section.. the admin block has all the links for TP ;)
