As i have not been following a guidline i should have, i have to remove this package from TP.

When i started this topic i didnt think of it as redistubuting files from SMF, but more of the files as TPs. But as they are SMF files with modifications in them to work with TP, they are still owned by SMF, and in the license of SMF they do not allow redistrubution of any of their files, even with modifications to them.

And as we have agreed to follow the rules when we use SMF we have to follow the license for it to.

So from this point, the files from this post will be removed, and i hope that no one of our members will repost them in our community as it is TP that will be blamed to not follow the licensagreement.

We still have the guide for what files to change, and where to put in the code.

If you dont dare to try, we in the Team will be here to guide and help you get TP installed as we always have.

And one more thing.
We DONT want to have any discussion what so ever about this anywhere in the forum.
Rules are rules, License deals are license deal, and we all that uses SMF files, have agreed to them.

did manual install, downloaded .zip files here...got following sources/load.php error...ehnnnnnnnnnt...I didn't have server login
info typed in window...my fault...sorry

This is why the support team here at the bloczone/tinyportal is so strong.

reupload tportal.php in your sources directory.

Man I messed up!  I followed instructions and I got this error

Table 'user_430718.smf_tp_settings' doesn't exist

did you run the manual install.php to make sure your database was updated also? if not, grab it from the downloads, upload it to your server, and run it.

But have you installed your language files for TP V.097 ?
It seems like you are missing the language strings only.
Im not sure we even have the TP language pack in your language.
Please look in the downloadsection languages for TP V.096 or 97 (if they are there for TP V.096 you can use them and just update the few strings to the TP V.097

thanks g6 i was looking for these files as when i tried to install TP{ through package manager ater upgrading from rc 3 to 1.1.1 it said pachage you r trying o insall is corrupred or is for some other verion

I think the manual install of TP is alot faster and smoother then installing through the package manager.

Not in nay way Brian. When you have a forum and want to install TP via the manager, and you dont have any conflicts with other mods, the packagemanager installs the TP in less then 5 sec.

What do I need to do myself to use these changes? I have mods installed and don't want to overwrite any code I need.

If you use those files you will encounter problems with other mods if they uses the same files.
As this is TP ans the files from a clean install of TP V.097 to SMF 1.1.1, they will not contain the code for any other mod, so if you use those, you will have to add the codes for the other mods manually.

Hm ?? All I wanted to know is what changes do I have to make myself to the files on my server. The files attached are too large to simply search through for what is different, and for some reason the changes are not posted anywhere so its kinda hard for me to find out.

I see this is using 9.8  so i would expect a workable copy to be uploaded soon.

Am in the same situation, with about 10 forums :( next time I will do one to see if it works...

I did a search and people already said this version is not compatible with 1.1 even through manual install..

In the docs section you can look at the RC2/RC3 modifications to see the code changes necessary (link below). In the actual TP_097.zip there is a file named Mod_instructions_SMF11rc.html

ooops I used this over my SMF 1.1.2 install. It works at least but now my index.php and sources are one version behind.  :-\

Is there any chance of getting these files in 1.1.2 format  ;)

open the index.php in the forum root and change the 1.1.1 to 1.1.2, as that file is the same in all packages, i didnt include the new one in the package here, but i will update it right a way

is it okay to have the 1.1 sources? I think they are the only other files that are out of date.

I will update them, have had a bad time for to long and not been able to own my own PC until now, so im on it and will update the files in the first post.
