When I try to edit articles, the edit page loads, that goes to a error page within seconds. The error page says this:

Error 500: Script Execution Failure
I've tried to edit using the link on the home page, plus tried to edit using the method through the Article Manager.
Any help why this is happening?
I am also getting the error when trying to add a new article.
Playing around, I think I have figured out when it is happening.
I can create an article by clicking on "Add PHP". But then, when I just type text in there and save it, I get an error when i go to view it at home. Here is a screen shot of what the page looks like before I click on save.

After that, I go to home to see this;

So if I switch the article to html, it works on home but I get the error message I wrote about in the first post. I am no longer allowed to edit the article. I was able to edit before switching to html.
Any help?

I use SMF 1.1.7 and TinyPortal v0.9.8
I used TP_1.0.6 but because of the high amount of errors I decided to unistall 1.0.6 and go with the more stable v0.9.8 so far is great but this major error keeps me from being able to post any articles.

First off, how did you downgrade from TP V1.0.6 to 098 ?
You cant just uninstall the higher version and then install the lower cause the database will not work properly if at all.
When you downgrade, you must go with backups from an older install or a brand new install.
From the error you have there, it seems like it generates from something else and not the actuall test article.
Do you have any other php block or article active on your home and where you still have th php tags left ?
If so, remove the php at first line and last and resave the code again.
