If you run Mozilla Thunderbird, here is a really handy article to junk your image spam (http://compserv.physics.harvard.edu/imagespam).

I do not recommend you follow the second step where they add a rule for email not in your address book, unless you are quite clear about what you are doing, or have a very comprehensive address book  ;)
