I was using SMF 1.1RC3 with TP 096 everything was perfect and fine. I uninstalled all my mods including TP, installed SMF 1.1 Final then reinstalled as many mods as were compatible. When I tried to install TP 097 I received an error message (ss included).

The error was associated with /Themes/default/index.template.php

I guess my main question is how do modify this file to accept the changes TP 097 will make?

Thats because you needed to instasll TP first as we recomend every where on this site ;)

You have to manually edit the files you get errors from, use the manuall install package files, and then read in the documentation on what code to add where for index.template.php

As a rule of thumb, install the larger and more complicated mods first.
