This is what I'm getting

Warning: mysql_query(): Access denied for user 'nobody'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home2/seppuku/public_html/smf/tp_install.php on line 17

obviously my sql info isn't there, I cant seem to find where I enter this info package manager wont work for me because the server I'm using times out every 30 sec. so I'm trying to do it manually where can I enter my sql database info so I can point to tp_install and have it work?

I have had a few issues with my server due to a thing called "safe mode". I am pretty sure I found the solution on the smf forums when I did a search, so that might be worth checking out.

As for the mysql thing - I take it that your forums etc are able to access the database with no problems? and this is an error you are getting when you try to run install.php from the same directory that your forum is in?

Yeah smf installed fine, I just up'd all the files into my smf directory replaced etc. Is there a place where I can add my sql info for tp

You have to use the manual install package, and not the full package when you install TP manually.
Download the manual install package, and extract the files on your local PC, then upload them to your forum.
Then download the Premade files from the install board, (make sure you get the correct zip for the SMF version you have) and then upload them to to your forum amnually (overwrite the old ones), then point your browser to manual_tp_install.php and it will work fine

Note that this will erase any other mods you have installed if any
