Sorry if this i wrong forum for this post. is there a way to gather more info on members when they register.  things like address phone etc.  I am having to keep two db for this info now was wondering if tp or smf can do this.

Not currently no..there is no "one size fits all" type of module, which this would benefit from. But I am considering a extended profile through TP, that will probably be what you need here.

It would be nice, but I think that would be something you would want to add to SMF firdst right? I dunno, but unknown has instructions on is site on how to so this manually liek adding new fields for registering and profile info.

Maybe once you figure out how to add it to SMF, we can figure out how to add it to TP manually.

Yes, I know about this..but there is one big drawback with it, you need to change all themes that will use it - or that use its own Profile.template. And when you upgrade, you need to partly do it again.

It should be more centralized and independant imho.
