Hey folks..
I'm just about convinced that I'll be installing TP with SMF 1.1 RC3
I have a few questions..
and if the answers are already posted here - just spin me around in the right direction.
-- the way the FAQ is posted in this forum is that part of TP?
I didn't upgrade to SMF 1.1 RC3 - I'm still running 1.08
so if its part of the new SMF ignore this question
- The articles feature - is that a standard funtion of TP?
- If I want to add pages - is there a TP template type page that I can use to add new pages?
I think that's it for now - TIA for the help!
here's the link to the site I'm going to add TP to
http://www.acmepettransport.com/forum/index.php
and the main page of the site - which is in deparate need of a change
which is why I'm coming here to have TP rescue me ;)

TP has all that and more..Articles are pages, and can be just about anything you want..IMO you should upgrade RC3 --
With installation of TP, always use smf Default Theme..
Download -- install,
Enjoy. :)
O &, do a Back Up before you install anything...

Not sure where you are talking about. The F.A.Q I know is a forum post.

TP is compatable with SMF 1.1.x and SMF 1.0.8, so upgrade is not needed, but you can if you desire.

Yes.

There are samples included, and many post here with links and other samples.

I would suggest makeing a 'test' installation, and not apply TP to your live site. That way you could give TP a test drive, and see what it can do for you.
Thanks for including links :)
And your custome theme will have to be modified to be TP - compatable before you can use it after installation; another reason to make a test site and try before you buy. ;)
the faq by the way is a normal SMF board with the theme wiki on t
so its not part of TP but rather part of SMF with a different theme
as for the rest yup u can do that
external pages - u can make pages within TP but totally blank external pages and managing from within TP not possible yet
thank you for all the input folks :)
Aku - thanks for clearly up the theme style for the FAQ section here. I never used that feature in SMF - it will work well with my forum as there's many sections that are reference only
I'm looking forward to installing TP after I find time to backup & install the new ver of SMF
I'll be sure to update when I get everything installed
enjoy the day all!
We will be looking forward to hearing your success story!
