Hi
Where exactly do the shouts get stored?
In an xml file or database? If so which part of the smf database? And is it possible to use xml rather than the database?
Thanks In advance, Hope ya'll doin fine shine ;)
Hi Mrs Z
The shouts get stored in the database - storing then in an XML file will require a complete rewrite of the shoutbox probably.
You can check out the shoutbox settings in your TP admin panel under Block Manager ----> Shoutbox
you can also delete the shouts from there

Hi,
Yes, I just found out which table they go into:
smf_tp_variables
Thank God! Otherwise I would have disabled the shoutbox altogether - Im making it only available to registered members to see. And thats where the pages are stored too.
Thanks for the information, Uncle Eid ;)

Yes...just remember if u want to delete the shouts use the shoutbox page, its just a simple click and they are all gone. Plus I would recommend it to anyone since it reduces ur DB size a lot to empty out the shouts
Thanks that excellent advice ;)
