this website is great, it is a sort of blog using smf.
comments are directly linked to the forum like tp does.
gravatars are included and.. well it uses the possibilities of both smf and wordpress.
Really great

Bjørn

I don't think wordpress is in it at all, but it really shows what you can do with just SMF and SSI.php. Seems its based on my Themis theme too.. ;)

Excellent site.

Nick

Hey, I just noticed that whoever owns that site, changed the SMF Copyright. Isn't that illegal?

Bjørn

I am not sure its changed..he might just have added "Design par Naoki | " right before the copyright.

I'm guessing here, but I think Unknown would let that one fly as Bloc is right, they only added the designer's name. Bloc, and most theme designers, do the same. Bloc puts his on the right, totally separate of SMF's copyright, this deisgner chose to incorporate theirs in the same place as SMF, probably for aesthetic reasons.

Cheers!

Ah. Yes, I like to integrate it into the Copyright as well, but not so it looked as if I changed it. OK then... :uglystupid2:

Ciinien

Just jump over to the SMF forums with the url linked from above, post to Unknown and ask him to check it out. Trust me, if he don't like it, he's not at all shy about letting you know...  :coolsmiley:

That way, you know for sure if that particular addition/reformatting is acceptable to SMF.

Cheers!

A quick glance at the source reveals what i suspected - he just put it right before the copyright(); call.
<td valign="middle" align="center" style="white-space: nowrap;">

<span class="smalltext">Design par Naoki |</span>
<span class="smalltext" style="display: inline; visibility: visible; font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;">Cyna | Propuls&eacute; par <a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum" target="_blank">SMF 1.0.5</a>.<br />
&copy; 2001-2004, <a href="http://www.lewismedia.com/" target="_blank">Lewis Media</a>. Tous droits r&eacute;serv&eacute;s.
</span>

Notice the <span class="smalltext">Design par Naoki |</span>
      <span class="smalltext" style="display: inline; visibility: visible; font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;">Cyna | Propuls&eacute; par <a href="http://www.simplemachines.org/" title="Simple Machines Forum"

If it were a part of the actual SMF copyright it would have been within the same <span> as the rest, but it is in fact a separate <span>.

Nice solution really. :)

Nick

Aha! I knew that! Just kidding. Ok, that's good then. And besides that, I hear that it is very very hard to even find the source of the copyright down there, so that would make it very very hard to change it :knuppel2:

im looking for a way to combine or make my forum look like a blog site. is there a mod or theme for this?
