Hello all,

Link to my site: https://mgustudents.com/
SMF version: SMF ver. 2.0.14
Default Forum Language: Bulgarian
Theme name and version:  default
Browser Name and Version: Chrome
Mods installed: TinyPortal 1.3

My struggle is to add a specific link to the downloadable files in the tpdownload section. For example  I want to add a link redirecting to some files placed at Google Disk. The reason is that those files are quite big, lets say 100-200MB, and they are not good to be uploaded to the ftp.

Many Thanks,

WillyP

That would be a good option to have, but I don't think we do.  :-[

Edit: There is, however, an option to create an empty item. You could create an empty item and put a link to your file in the description.

Yes, I was thinking the same. I was thinking of creating a zip file with inside a txt file with a link to Google Drive. A little bit complicated but should work.

I was thinking something much simpler and user friendly. When you create a download in TP, there is a place for a description of the item. Just put a link there to the file on Google Drive, and check the box that says "Do not upload anything, just create an empty item." and let people click the link in the description.

Yes, but by this way you can't see how many times the file has been downloaded.
