I'd really like to understand the function and use of TP Articles?

Is there are guide / 'how to' for the articles function somewhere?

For example, when is an article used where aa forum post wouldn't be equally useful??

If someone has a forum I could look at that uses articles (accessible by guests) please point me to it so I can have a look.

Thanks.

Once again: please check the docs site: this is built up using articles AND it holds howto's for all features of TinyPortal...

https://www.tinyportal.net/docs/index.php?cat=Articles

Should you find that information is missing there, please let us know, so we can add whatever is needed...

My site is using articles for the static information pages... see www.fjr-club.nl...

That should give an idea of what it is...

There's a few on my sites, under the heading, Articles.

https://guitaristguild.com/index.php?page=amplitube-4
https://guitaristguild.com/index.php?page=Ampeg-SVX-2
https://cameracraniums.com/forum/index.php?page=srilanka

There is much better examples out there I'm sure.  But the articles system is much more powerful than you think.  Pages can be used in much the same way as blocks, you can add content using php, html, bbc,

Ken.

Here are a few more examples of ways that TinyPortal Articles can be useful:

On my site we use an article for our Front Page; ourfamilyforum.org
And, Our Privacy Statement
Our custom 404 error page

And, one of my Favorite Poems

As for guides, this one may be helpful:
