Nice one Ken.  I see you cleaned up the default theme now, that still had code left over from what I saw last night.  Seems fine now. 

I upgraded a couple of my sites last night, all seems well.  My photog site I need to completely restore like you have.  trying loads of mods over the years has turned it a bit messy.

Yes, it's working nicely now. Turns out there was some left over files in the sources folder... don't see why because that folder should have been over-written during the process of loading fresh SMF files.
In any case it's all better now.
