My question is this...has something changed from the version versions previous to 1.2 TP that may affect posting/replying in the forums or is there something I forgot to check off that may have gotten unchecked or  is it an SMF thang...LOL

The problem is that I used to post to a thread, new or reply > press enter to get new paragraph and it would auto insert the double space one sees to get new para. Now when I hit enter key I get single space and when preview it shows it as single space no double space unless I hit the enter key twice.

No space in between para's anymore, even going back to place the space in there if it is not hit twice no double space.

Thanks in advance and am planning to update to this newer version of TP real soon assuming that responsive theme is not required cause donot have them thar thangs yet. ::)

You say when posting in the forum?  I'm pretty sure TP hasn't done anything to alter the editor in the forum itself.  Just as a test does the same happen when you post here?

In answer to you questions regarding responsive themes, no you don't have to have a responsive theme to use TP, but it won't be responsive unless you do.  ;)

LOL yup but have not found a theme we like yet...not to mention we is a load of fogies that are set in their likes/dislikes and need to be weened into something new...working on it. :2funny:

As for this posting ... yes it does, see image I just hit return once and it should pop in 2 breaks but it only does one.

Hmmmm, as above I don't seem to have the issue you're experiencing. Unless I misunderstood?

LOLThat was the problem...ages ago...and at least 2-3 updates ago the posting would automatically enter the second break (return) after the . then hit return...that would make the new paragraph with no need to hit return twice. Now you want new para you need to hit return twice.
Is this normal to hit twice or is my forum not behaving.

see above area, that should have been a new para not a continuing sentence of previous statement

There is a return.
Like this, I hit return
and it goes to a new line.

If I want a space then I hit return twice as I would in a text editor?

Like that.

I'm confused! I must be missing the obvious with the bug you're experiencing.

If you want to increase the spacing between the text lines then you need to set the line-height in the css.

I don't think TinyPortal overrides that in the forum, it has it set for articles and the shoutbox.

I have been using my SMF forum since 2011. All this time the editor in my forum has worked as it does here : one enter is a new line, two enters is a new line AND an empty line ...

thanks, mine did it for a few updates then started making me do 2 returns for the new paragraph. But then my forums have always done things that others don't.. :knuppel2:
That is why we call our forum by the asylum...we are all insane and proud of it. :2funny:
At least now I know it is as it should be, thank you.
