Block sorting of articles in category not doing what I think it should do...

I have a block, left panel Type Articles in a category.  

You cannot view this attachment.
I have tried several settings to change that.  I have the Pos. set from 70 down to 20 Competition Guide being 70 Grand Champions at 20. I have reversed the Pos numbers as well. I have change the category sort options Sort by Position both Ascending and Descending, no change.  ID number both Ascending and Descending, no change. What am I missing?

I don't think this block sorts. It may just show the articles in order of ID.

Well, that would explain why it doesn't work the way I think LOL

Yeah, there is no sorting applied to that block.

Alternative: create a PHP block and use the block code snippet "List articles in categories".

You just need to put the correct category ID in the code and this will sort by position...
