Still having problems with the Downloads Manager. I've posted before and no answers.

Using the WEb2 theme.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I cannot upload a 3.07MB file eventhough I have it set to 10,000KB for upload size and the file type is set correctly.

I've spoken to my host and I have a 10MB php upload file limit. Well within the specs.

Is there any way to work out this constant time out thing? That's what's holding it up.

Please help

Andi

If its timing out, its a host issue. You have a link to a phpinfo page?

andimac

Hello Ichbin,

Pardon this but I'm not sure what you mean by a phpinfo page? Is that a particular file?

Andi

Blue Steel

in your phpinfo settings on your server
Quote
upload_max_filesize   2M   2M

you also need to increase that to the max size you want..

you may also want to increase

Quote
post_max_size   8M   8M

and

Quote
max_execution_time   30   30

Some servers don't allow members to change their php settings in which case you need to contact your server provider to see if they'll change them for you

IchBin

As Bluesteel pointed out what I expected, you're host doesn't know what they are talking about. They still have you set at the 2MB limit.

I've got smf 1.1.2 and tp_097 installed. I think I understand how to  upgrade to 1.14 but I don't know what option to select in my  Package Manager which reads:
Quote4. TinyPortal 0.983   [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]

Tip please? Thanks, Kerry

I still have the emails they sent with the file size limits saying 10M I can send those back and ask what gives?

Will follow up. Thanks guys!

All you need to do is tell them that the change hasn't been made. Point them to the phpinfo file you posted, and say "Did you really change the max upload to 10? Because it still only says 2 MB. :)
