I have a joomla site (www.authorway.com/mythopedia) that contains pieces of info about mythology. Is there a way to create a widget that will run in a TP block and show data from this site into my SMF/TP forum (or any other site)?
I have seen that a lot lately (mostly with astrology data) and I was wondering from where to start in order to creat my own widget.

Any guiding help would be appriciated!

Do you mean a block? You can probably write php or javascript which might do what you want to show within TP. It's possible that you could write something that would allow other sites to access data from your joomla to other sites, but that wouldn't be something that we would be able to help you with here. We're all about TinyPortal here.

There is a section on the SMF forum that is for general coding help, if that's what you need. As I understand it, those posts don't have to have anything to do with SMF.

There's also something in Google about creating widgets. I haven't looked at it -- I've only seen a reference to it. But there might be something there to help.
