I've avoided upgrading my 0.9 TP sites because what I have running at the moment has been running with no problems and frankly I dont want to create them.
So the time has come now to have a look at TP v1 but I cant go upgrading the live sites and hope nothing breaks.
If I do some tests with some clean installs, with TP and whatever version of SMF is required, will I then be able to import data from my 0.9x databases.
I guess the barebones question is, does the upgrade from 0.9x to 1.x alter the database in anyway?
Thanks guys
Take a look at this how-to... it's an excellent way to update or upgrade your live site.

Yes, there are changes to your db when going from TP.9x to TP1x so be sure to do a backup of your db before doing the upgrade.
the upgrade effects many areas of your overall forum & or Portal.
thanks for that link ken, seems to give me all I need to know.

It has been mentioned recently to other members to wait a little while longer before diving in.
