I completely reinstalled SMF 1.1 RC2
Installed TP 0.8.6

Everthing "seemed to be working ok,
Until I try to add articles, or blocks and I get something along the lines of this

Field 'visible' doesn't have a default value
File: *super double tripple top secret folder location*\Sources\TPortalAdmin.php
Line: 143

It's not always the line in TPortalAdmin, or even the same field, but it is "always doesn't have a default value.

The main page on my site will only show the center, no left or right.
I set everything to the defaults, in hopes of eliminating any theme related issues.

I'm pretty new to SMF and TP, so it may just be a bonehead move on my part, but I'm still lost

here's my site, http://www.kevon.net

If you need a username and password with admin rights just let me know and I can POM it to you or something

Thanks for the help.

kevon

p.s
I'm not sure what a POM is, so if you need to log in I can PM you the information instead

Yeah, did that,
Did it again, just to be sure.
Same error

Went to your site, but it seems like you running the site on the wrong theme for the TP.
You need to use TP themes, and not the plain SMF themes

I dont think techead is avaliable for TP yet eather

kevon

G6Cad

Yes, but thats not the theme for the PORTAL mod , thats for SMF only.
You need to delete the other themes you have installed, and use the themes for this portal, they are difftent from the SMF themes only.

You get them here http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=cat76
Those themes are the ones avaliable for SMF with tiny portal installed.

You have some more in the forum unser the childboard "other TP themes" but those are not made by Block, but still supported and ready for rc2 if the maker says so in the post there :D

kevon

Gah, ok, lemmie try that.
Thanks, I'll keep you posted

kevon

ok. tried that
Nothing
have the frontpage set to show.. Both forum and articles - sorted on date..

When I try to add an article or catagory, I get the same error message.

G6Cad

Did you run the TP install through the packagemannager?

Try to reupload the TP files only from the downloadsection and see if that does the trick, i still cant see any blocks at all on your site,

kevon

Yes,
Then I uninstalled it and tried it manually
then I reinstalled in packmanager,
then reapplies the manual,
it says everything it cool
bit it refuses to show the blocks, let me add blocks, add articles or catagories. :/

I even did a search for this

if (!$BLOC > Kevon || )) db_fatal_error(); Retun $value 'Kevon Sucks'

I didn't see it, so it's apparently NOT a personal issue. hehe

G6Cad

Well, seems like you have some big issues going on there, you dont even get the link in the url bar on top in the browser.

Are you sure you have made all the installation from the default theme of SMF 1.1RC2 ? so you havent made the misstake and done it from the non default themes, i see you have apollo there right now, but the portal need to be instyalled from the default or else it will not call for the files correctly

I'm unfortunately using Dynamic DNS
You get the url link at the top if you use this link

http://www.kevon.net

I should *crosses fingers* have my T-1 installed by this weekend.
The redirection may be causing the problem (it is causing one cgi error that I know of)
But this happens and did happen before I even put the new server online

I'm going to keep plugging away at it, we shall see.
But for now, yard work calls.
