Links in shoutbox

Is there anyway to replace links in shoutbox with [link] instead of the whole url?

Hi, and welcome to TP support.

You can add text links in the shoutbox in the same way you would in the forum, by using bbc tags.  For example

Code Select Expand

[iurl=https://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=35930.0]links[/iurl] in shoutbox

Would look like: links in shoutbox 

And I just posted this exact link in our shoutbox on here.

While I'm on the subject of shoutbox, how would I add a marquee to it, like yours?

You can add a text message, either static or moving like ours is atm, You can add bbc tags to achieve this.  For example what we have at the top of this one is,

[move][b][color=red]Please don't ask for support in this shoutbox, start a topic in the forum, thank you.[/color][/b][/move]

Which gives the message you see. Please don't ask for support in this shoutbox, start a topic in the forum, thank you.

To get to the shoutbox settings, 

Tinyportal > TPShout > Settings > "Place a fixed message or announcement at the top of the shoutbox (BBC allowed):"
