I work for a corporation that has a "intranet" as part of the core network structure.  The question is, can SMF/TP be used as part of the "intranet"?

Thanks for any comments.

Sure it can...IF the corporate site has php et al installed. At my company we installed a php platform on a web server for internal apps (not SMF/TP but it would run just fine).  We can also gateway the ones we want out to the internet.

I bet you'll get some more replys.  Good question.

Running it locally or on the internet is pretty much the same thing. The only difference being that the outside doesn't have access. :) You have to have a full fledge mysql/php/webserver.
