Who Voted What

I am new to the PHP and Tinyportals. I have been working on my site and I finally figure out how to get Who voted what 1.1.3 to load into smf 1.1.8 I change the package info version lines to 1.1.8 from 1.1.3 to get it to install. It loaded fine and is running with out errors. I have the package here for anyone who may need it. I was wondering if any one can help me a TP Block. I would like to have a block that shows a current poll result for a poll I choose. I just not sure as to the code I would use. I guess this post could fit under a couple of areas in the forums. If I have posted this in the wrong area I am sorry( go figure a noob  ).

Welcome to TinyPortal,

Is this "Who Voted What" that you have included here the same Mod located on the SMF site at http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=347 or is this something else that you have created?  If it is the Mod from SMF, it shouldn't be on here.  I don't know how this Mod works but the Mod Creator would be the person to ask about putting it's result into a TinyPortal block.  If it is the same Mod that is available on SMF then we should remove it since we can't provide support for it here.

We can teach you how to make blocks but we can't give you support on how to make another SMF Mod work correctly here.

LMK what it is you need for us to do, and how you respond will tell us whether this topic needs to be moved to some other board like Support.

      The orignal Mod was from SMF and I change the package-info.php config lines to read smf 1.1.8 instead of 1.1.3 and the ref in the modification.php to read 1.1.8 instead of the 1.1.3 version it was orginal written. So I guess you would call this a mod for smf 1.1.8

      I was wonder with the TP block, I have seen you can use block snipets and java,html and others. I would like to set a block up that had a code that ref a poll posted in the forum and showed the results in the block. So I guess I really had two post in one. I am a little weak with script coding and was looking for some advice as to how I would start this. Html is very basic and I understand that. With the Tiny Portal interface I am trying to figure out these coding scripts to customize the web site to be both orignal and functional with all the tool out there.

I'm not sure what that mod does.  However, there is some code in our block code snippets board that will allow you to display the results of polls in a block.  You might want to do a search in that board for "poll" and it will find those snippets.

I've not had any polls running in a long while now, but the last time I used this snippet it worked very well.
