TP Blocks visible, allow input but don't show up

My TP blocks just quit working.  I can add the kind of blocks I want, input what I want, save etc., but then they don't show up.  I make sure the "on" circle is red so that is not the problem.  Should I reinstall TP and will I loose everything I have done so far?

Texas Liberty Lady,

The first thing I can recommend is that you check if the image on the left is GREEN, that shows the blocks are enabled, so that will most likely be the problem.

After that, I can't really tell you anything, I don't know what to do.

thanks so much but I have made sure they are green.  If I put my html code in an html box , it will show up in the block but in code.  Sorry I didn't state that too clearly.

A link to your site? Are you on the default theme? If not, is your theme converted for TP?

Thanks for your help - very mcuh.  A kind poster PMd me and said he didn't know if this was the problem or not but he realized that he had to hit source first before cutting and pasting or entering any code.  That was exactly my problem.  Well at least part of it.  For some reason some other front page blocks just weren't showing up and all of a sudden they started working.  So both problems seem to be solved.

I feel pretty ridiculous over the first one (posting without hitting source first)  but oh well if you can't make a fool out of yourself once in a while you might not stay humble!
