Adding Custom Board Icons [Tips & Tricks]

Hi

This is an easy tutorial of how to add custom Icons for your board very easily....



1. First of all go to your admin panel

2. On the left panel click on the "Boards" link



3. Next select the board you want to add the icon to and click on the Modify link



4. Here you will see the board name



To it add a image tag in HTML like so before the name

Code Select Expand

It will look like this:



5. Browse down and press the modify button:

you can also add different on.gif and off.gif for each board, but that is another topic.

yea thats a bit complicated too with code alterations as well

the only issue i find with adding custom icons is: the image quality

most of the icons i have - have a rough edge which dosent look so nice on darker backgrounds

it would be cool if i cold find a website with smooth edged icons

same issue exists with many smileys and rough white edged

Im also looking for some neet icons that will go well on my familycandy forum if any one find a fine collection some where, please give a notice
