Site URL: site removed - no longer using TP.
Site Owner:djfs3
Site Designer:dzinerstudio
Site Genre:Music, Shows, Events

My website is based on the Electronic Dance Music scene where I lived and what I also do is post up other Non EDM Events as well to try to attract others from where I live to sign up.

The only thing that I just recently did was change the green from mystic jade to what you see now. I am running on SMF 2.0 RC3 and using TinyPortal 1.0 beta 5-1

The darkness of your site is too much IMO. I have a hard time separating where things start and end because the color variations between segments is so subtle that it's hard to see. Other than the color (or lack there of :P ) I would say you are on your way. The layout looks organized well.

alright man cool thanks for the reply... i was thinking of using a blue gradient in the first place, but kinda felt that i was going more for a dark look.... anyways thanks for the reply dude appreciate it

The dark look is fine. It just needs something. Maybe some lighter borders around things. Or just lighter shades of gray.

I kinda like the dark look, even though I am more into light sites these days.  I think maybe the text could be brighter.  That 'Drum & Bass' graphic at the top looks great with that theme though.

Good work really :)

Either it was changed, or my monitor at home is horrible. lol It looks much better now.

Some monitors have bad contrast - looking pretty nice here.

There is no doubt that a dark theme looks much better (on any monitor) when you are viewing it in a dark room.  Last night, I looked at the site and I thought it looked great.  Viewing it during the day, when sunlight is streaming through the window, makes it a little difficult to distinguish the difference in the shades of the title bars, etc., but it still looks pretty good to me.
