Translated to English ...

Are you trying to create a block like you have seen on another forum somewhere?  If that is what you are trying to do, then it might be a good idea to ask the owner of that forum if they can show you the block code they used for the block.

We can direct you to documents that will teach you how to setup a block, but we can't tell you how to do code for a specific block like this unless we know what the block is supposed to do, and sometimes we can't even do it then.

Do you read and write English?  If so, you can put a request into the Block Code Snippets Request Board and somebody may be able to help you, but you have to be specific as to your request.

Hi ZarPrime,

First of all, thanks for your answer.

Actually, i'm not really asking for help in order to create a specific block. I'm just wondering if there is any rules to respect in order to create something quite clean, i need to know if there is some coding rules or guidelines for a block which i'd like to integrate into smf/tp.

Like i said, i'm planning to write a piece of code which respects the smf/tp standard if there is one existing. And it will certainly guide me in my scripting steps.

There are no particular rules regarding this, but a lot depends on whether you are coding an html block or a php block.

I invite you to have a look at some of the various block code snippets in the Block Code snippets board to get some ideas for your own coding purposes.  If you are coding in html, you do not have to put in the head or body tags as the TP block will take care of those.

I know that you want to code this yourself but, as I said, if you post your idea into the Block Code Snippets Request Board somebody may be able to get you started in the right direction.

Hey again :)

I'll definitely use php in order to ease the managing of the stats and results i'm talking about. It's about keeping stats and printing into a block match results, stats, screenshots, etc ... i'm talking about online gaming (fps).

This subject has already been discussed here, but i feel like motivated to start something new, and simple.

Creating teams (in order to manage severals, members (registered to the forum), tagging the leaders, the managers etc..),
Creating and planning wars (matchs, editing results, reports, the possibility of attaching files to each one).
The possibility of adding comments ( One match creates a post in a specific category of the forum for example).

I'm thinking about it.

Sorry if my english is hardly readable and not clear

I'll follow your advice and create a topic in the appropriate forum, there may be some people interested in this kind of tool.

Regards,

Actually, your English is excellent., probably better than mine. ;D

At least, if you post in the Block Code Snippets Request Board, it will catch the attention of some of our coders, and they may be able to give you some ideas.

Ok, then, I am going to go ahead and close this topic and call it solved.  I see that JPDeni has already started helping you there, so that's good.  She definitely knows her stuff when it comes to coding.
