User-selectable blocks

I'm sure this would have to be something for version 2.0 at the least, but I was thinking that it would be really neat if the users could decide which blocks they would like to have visible, and which side they were on. There would be a default setup that guests would see and that users would start with, but then they would be able to add or delete others that they preferred.

I am sure if this is possible, it would be way down the road, but I thought I'd toss it out anyway.

I know Bloc and TP is headed in that direction
Cant say in what release though, but the future will tell
