Title: https
Post by: bigguy on December 02, 2018, 05:37:29 PM
I have installed SMF 2.1 and the new Tp on a test site. Everything is going good. I am using https but a few images on the front page are still http, making the site show it's not secure. Is there any way to change the url for these images.

Hey bigguy, how you doing.

Thanks for giving it a go.  Can you give a bit more info, on what images for example. Then we'll get it looked at.  A link would be handy as well if that's possible.

You can enable the proxy if they are set in a article. That's in the global TinyPortal Settings.

No TinyPortal images should be sent as http.

edit it seems the grin one is sent as http from the SCEditor.

One is for an article. The proxy in SMF is not being used right now. There are problems with it in 2.1

Can you send me the contents of that article when in source mode please?

Did you by any chance create the article whilst accessing via http?

I can only replicate when I create an article in http, otherwise it is https as I would expect.

I might have but can not remember now, lol. That would make the smiley use http instead of https ??

Yeh the editor defaults to whatever you're currently using. We don't rewrite those settings and just leave as is. It's easy enough to always use https which is what you should be doing anyway so I don't see the need to amend.

Cool, glad you like it. That's all down to tino and @rjen, they've certain given the TinyPortal a new lease of life.

Don't forget to give any feedback on TP over at SMF, we certainly could do with the kudos.  ;)
