For some reason I cannot upload new theme's via package manager theme manager. I checked the Core Configuration and for some reason the default SMF + Sources directory have a whole bunch of other info in them! I have tried to change these settings to just: /Forums and /Forums/Sources

www.dreamtmwa.com

hope my screenie can explain a bit too:

Try using repairsettings.php
It's here -> http://www.simplemachines.org/download/?tools
Other than that..your directory path is correct...

OzButcher

I tried that but didn't work. When I entered the URL's that logically seem like the proper ones SMF gave me a popup that said my theme Dir was wrong.

Checkout the image... only the recommended server settings work, however crazy they seem to be!

The stuff in the fields I typed in... thats what I expect them to be.

hehe, you don't upload themes via the package manager Oz. You use the theme manager to do it.
Admin > Themes and Layout > install new theme.

OzButcher

ooops typo in my first post... I meant the theme manager.  ;)

hmm I've talked to my host and those seem to be the correct folders. I'm thinking maybe just my upload within TP isn't working. I had problems with this too uploading packages.

I'm trying to upload a theme now manually via ftp and then pointing to it from theme manager.

BTW IchBin... this might sound freaky! but you were in my dream last night!! and you spoke german. do you speak german?? really freaky hey! I can't remember what we were talking about tho :P

IchBin

haha! I only speak a few broken words. At least from what I remember when taking it in high school.

You may want to check the permissions on your folders.

OzButcher

seems to work when I upload manually. pretty much most folders are writable on the site. Maybe it has something to do with my host :( oh well.

At least it can be done manually, better that not being able to do it :)
