My error log is very clean except for this error that I get a few times a week.

Any ideas on the cause?

Search is your friend

I'm not privy to that topic.. Permission denied.
Which explains why my initial search didn't return anything.

Can you please post the contents and or fix for this error?

G6Cad

HM, Alpha board, sorry about that, seems like that is quite an old error and should be fixed From TP V.095.

Please check so you have updated all the files correct for TP.
To be sure you can simply download the manual install package and extract and replace the old files with the new files.

The error is generated when visitors (or bots) are trying to view the download stats page when they are not permitted to do so. But as i said, it's an old error thats been fixed some time ago

I just copied over all the files from the manual install over the ones in my test forum and the error still gets logged.
Just to make sure, I did delete the old ones first.

G6Cad

Also the code you meed to manually add to some of the SMF files ?

It's slightly frustrating knowing there is a thread that references this very error yet I'm not privy to it and it's suggested that I do a manual install.

That's fine, I'll run thru the manual mod instructions, I just have one question though.
The mod instructions that accompany the tp971 manual install say "TinyPortal v0.9.5 mod instructions for SMF 1.1 RC2 - 1.1 RC3". Is this file/intructions up to date?

This is also the only error I get in the log right now.

G6Cad

Dont be annoyed, the thread that i linked to have the exact same answers as i gave you in my reply.

QuoteThe error is generated when visitors (or bots) are trying to view the download stats page when they are not permitted to do so.

And to fix it should be to use updated files for TP.
And as i understand you have done this part with the replacing of files ?

And yes, the modinstructions are the very same as 1.1rc3.
If you feel uncomfort, you can use the premade files in the sticky post in this board. They have all codes in them and are up to date.
The thing with doing that step is that if you have other mods installed, they will be lost and they need to be reinstalled again.

I just went thru and compared all my files to the mod instructions and everything was as it should be. So as far as my installation goes it's correct and complete.

I'm also on 1.1.1 and .97 if that makes a difference.

I am getting this error too now. It's only been since I upgraded to smf 1.1.2 and tinyportal 0.9.7.1

I dont have any old files though

madron

I realize this is an old error, but my forum is up to date with both TP and SMF files.  I have just started to notice this exact error again..same line, same exact everything.

Anyone else getting this again?

SMF 1.1.4
TP 9.8 last upgrade

Thanks for your help

IchBin

You should probably upload the files again for TP. This error was corrected in TP 0.9.8
