Went to check my boards this morning, and all I'm greeted with is this...

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in (name removed)/board/Sources/TPortal.php on line 252

I didn't do anything new, no upgrades or anything, and it worked fine lastnight... What's the deal???

G6Cad

Cant say, but try and replace it wwith a new TPortal.php and see if it helps, (backup the old one first)
Or attache your file here so we can look at it

skeletonkiss

It literally just did this overnight. Nothing was changed, so why this error now??

G6Cad

Read my post please, and follow the instructions, eather replace the old file. or attache it here so we can see what the error is comming from.
Impossible to say when you just paste the one error string when we dont even know what you have INSIDE your file on that very line,

Something weird is going on... I download the file to check it, and everything after line 250 is missing... Uploaded a new file of it, then got more errors.
Upon closer inspection, it looks like a TON of my files were modified this morning, despite the fact that I haven't touched my board's files in at least a month or two...

Could this be the work of a hacker?

Currently I'm having to re-upload all the tp files...

****edit****
Okay, I redid the source files and the theme files, and now everything is back...

skeletonkiss

I just noticed several files in the directory above my board, where the site is. (Not the main site, but one of my sub-sites) and discovered several new files.

An htaccess file
time.php
base.php
download.php
package.php

Now I KNOW I didn't put those in there...

check with your host to see if they had any security breaches or someone on their staff did something overnight like maintenence or something.

Also ask them for server logs for your account so you can see whats been going on.

Normaly i would be happy about some unexpected $, but in this case i can see its a bad thing  :-\

I hope you get it solved  ;)
