Hi,
I thought my problem was simple, but even with a search with "category, panels" didn't leade me to respctive topics - so sorry - here I go:

My settings are like shown in the screenshots below. And indeed, no panels at all on the frontpage but at any other pages within the site. Exactly, the way it should be. STOP: There is one exception, which I can't clear for me, it's when I am clicking an article of the news-category, the full article is shown - yes, with the right-Panel. When going one step back in the breadcrumb to "news" the intros of the articles are shown -> without the right panel...???

Reversing the test an change the frontpanel-settings to "show right panel", yes, the right panel is shown at all pages.

So, what I would like to realize is, that at the frontpage no sidebars are shown, plus that side-panels are shown at the categories-page  (sorry, here's the end of my english - still hope you guys got what I mean?

In one sentence: is it possible to do the settings accordingly? I would be already happy, if I could alternatively surpress the breadcrumb-link, so that it would not be possible anymore to reach the category-page...

Hoping for answers ;)

Instead of trying to explain it three times, just go for your best shot. Right now the wording seems to have confused me after the third explanation...

In the articles > options you can change the option to show side panels individually. As for the linktree, I think that is also a setting in the article. I hope that helps you.

Hi IchBin,

sorry for having confused you - I was also a bit confused about describing this "simple" problem.
Well, about the settings again (and I try to simplify it...)
In TP->settings->frontpage: "visual options on the frontpage" -> nothing selected
In TP->settings->Panels: "use left Panel" -> Off; "Use right Panel" -> On; "Use center-Panel" -> On

The Article-settings/Options:
use intro: Yes; show on frontpage: No; Category: news, "do not use title/frame" -> checked

Visual Options:
Only "show centerblocks" and "show righgtblocks" are checked - nothing else.

So, in "my little world" this should get me the wanted results: "Do not show any sidepanels or Blocks at the frontpage but show Panels and Blocks on all other pages". But when I cklick "News" (link is ...index.php?cat=28) there are no panels/blocks shown at all though.

If I'm changing the settings for the frontpagelike this: TP->settings->frontpage: "visual options on the frontpage" -> Right side blocks -> checked, the right panel of course appears at the frontpage, although at the category-page as well...

Hope, I coul make it a bit more transparent what I wanted to do?

Thanks agin,
jens
