Hi how do i go about updating tiny portal from 2.1.0 to latest on SMF 2.0.19, just uninstall then reinstall 2.1.0 ? or the latest version for my SMF?

Latest TP is 2.2.2

Just upload in the package manager, uninstall the old and install 2.2.2.
This version works with both 2.0 and 2.1 branch

just some observations re updating

1st as outlined elsewhere TP 2.2.2 won't properly install on SMF 2.13 but will if you ftp the forum files from SMF 2.12 upgrade package, then once Tp installed upgrade from within your Forum

My main problem was my frontpage, Home wouldn't link

until i disabled all the blocks which had custom code in (from previous tp versions)

this fixed it for me

You actually ONLY need ONE file from SMF2.1.2...

Work-around if you have upgraded from 2.1.2 to 2.1.3

Using an FTP client you can restore the previous version of the file DbPackages-mysql.php and install TinyPortal.

To do this :
1. rename the DbPackages-mysql.php file to DbPackages-mysql.php~213 (to keep it safe)
2. Then rename DbPackages-mysql.php~ to DbPackages-mysql.php

You can now install TinyPortal

then restore the files to their old state
3. Rename DbPackages-mysql.php to DbPackages-mysql.php~
4. Rename the DbPackages-mysql.php~213 file to DbPackages-mysql.php
