Added translation, it isn't all, but it will be usefull for italian users. All admin menu translated and frontend one. At least Help strings and some missing string somewhere. Working on, I hope to finish in 10-15days

I downloaded the zip file, just a little needed to be complete.
TPgallery.italian.php is not translated, it's not for Gallery but for menu editing, older name in English was TPmainmenu.english.php. Not many strings, easy work.

There is also TP10_beta3_ITA-iso.zip (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item23) Italian for TP 1_0 Beta3.

We lost some track of translations with tinyportal.net closure,  that will be fixed in time, so proper credits for translators that have worked will be given.

I will leave the file here if someone wants it and wait a bit for the translation to be completed.

Looks like some of them aren't used. I've only found these:

$txt['tp-submissions'] = 'Submissions';  <-- This one is for the Menu item under "Manage Artciles > Submissions. It is also what shows in the linktree when you are in the Article Submissions admin page.

$txt['tp_modreports'] = 'Modreports:'; <-- This one is shown in the userblock when there are SMF moderation reports.

$txt['tp-commenter_time'] = 'Time'; <-- This is used on the show comments page linked in the userblock titled "Show latest comments".

$txt['tp-useroundframepanels'] = 'Use the roundframe style for left/right panels?';  <-- This is used in the TPAdmin > Settings page. It's an option to use a certain style for the panels. Hope that helps.

What TP version are you using? With TP 1.0 RC1 it should be displayed as in IchBin' s screenshot.

I don't think you are using TinyPortal 1.0 RC1, you must be translating an older version, because TP has not had it menu in the side panel for a few versions back!

The strange thing is that I have checked raid's translation and the files are TP 1.0 RC1. The difference in quotes below is also only in the last version.

$txt['tp-useroundframepanels']  I found that string in \Themes\default\languages/TPortalAdmin.english.php around line 604 for RC1

Guys,

I could be wrong about this but I don't believe 'tp-useroundframepanels' is used with SMF 1.1.X, only with SMF 2.0.  It's a curve thing I believe.  However, it would still need to be translated because the same language files are used for both.  Raid's site seems to be using SMF 1.1.12.  Again, I could be wrong about what's going on here.

Yeah, I knew it was TP RC1, I just wasn't sure what version of SMF it was being used on.  "Use the roundframe style for left/right panels?" may not even show up when TP RC1 is installed on SMF 1.1.12.  I don't know because I don't have a test site with SMF 1.1.12 and TP RC1.

This is for smf 1.1.12 I believe doc.

Language files are common, ZarPrime is right about the string variable, it's used only in 2.0.

no problem I installed smf 2 on localhost to check the option. all is translated, there are one or two lines in english, becouse in english is easier to understand, in italian it's hard to figure it out.

so italian 100% done

I figured out a small mistake, plural and singular, I think was an old translation, I updated my files, on next version I will fix it.

and replaced à è é ì ò ù, that's all, is it correct? or did I miss something?
