French language files

Hi,
On one of my sites I try to make in French,

1) I have installed SMF in French
2) TP v0.9.8
3) then installed French files into : Themes/default/languages/

Before this, the menu was in French and now is in ENGLISH !

do not understand what happened   any idea?[/color]

What TP language package did you download and install to your forum ?
You seem to have placed them correct, so it must be some other issues there.

1. Check so the language strings are really there.
2. Make sure they are named correctly
3. Make sure what standard you use, (uft-8 or iso)

If you have utf-8 you can see it in the language folder, all the files should have "filname.english-utf8.php"
And if they dont, you have ISO

I have downloaded the TP_098_French

1. Check so the language strings are really there. ----> when I open with WordPad, French strings are there
2. Make sure they are named correctly ---> ha !
if you speak about names of files in the packs,
there are:
TPhelp.french
TPmodules.french
TPortal.french
TPortalAdmin.french

3. Make sure what standard you use, (uft-8 or iso) ---> I hava read one of your topics on languages and have checked and have the iso

i have tried very simple method :

went to the admin/settings
set from French into English - refresh
set from English into French - refresh

and e v e r y t h i n g is owkey

my French TP - yupi !
