I've been doing some work on my site and came across hardcoded icons in the user and stats block. I was so free to transfer this into tp-custom.css and change the templates. If this does not fit here, please move it to the appropriate board.

Just checked your code, and I will take out the hard reference to the default theme...
so instead of
.tp_user_pm::before {
content: url('../../default/images/tinyportal/TPdivider.png');
use
.tp_user_pm::before {
content: url('../images/tinyportal/TPdivider.png');
this way it allows the css file to be placed in a theme folder and changed from the default if so desired...
The position information (top / left) in the css can also be specified in em instead of px ( in this case left: -.3em and top: -.1em). Then the list-icons should be positioned the same for each font size. This can also be applied to the size of the icons.
Off topic: TP also uses the sceditor, like smf. How do I get the smiley selection in smf back into the menu as a button?
Slept on it again and applied the properties via the lists instead of the list items directly.

However, in case the date of the most frequent online users is shown including the time, the time is now also provided with a list item. To prevent this, I have simply changed the lines (about 388):
