Most CMS's do not offer the ability to close the left or right side blocks.  I was thinking that as admin, it would be nice to disable this option.

I have had some issues with users who have inadvertently clicked these links and could not see the blocks.

Is it possible to add this to the settings area?  Maybe I'm the only one..  ::)

You could delete or comment out the code for the upshrinks. Or you could make them only only appear for admins. I would be surprised if this was made into a feature, but it wouldn't be difficult to alter the index.template.php file (in a copy of the default theme) to do what you want.

I already do comment out this "feature".  I just thought it would nice for those who do not know how to work with code so much to have an option to not show them.

No problem, just thought I would mention it... afterall, it seems to me that the whole point of TP is to make SMF function as a CMS and as I said, not many (if any) CMS's allow you to turn off the left and/or right blocks.
