There is annother thing that people should be thankful coming here. I've been in the process of making a new community site with the broad aim of producing a news/review/tech tip/community connection site for gamers by gamers. Over the past month here's how things have gone:

Xoops >> PhP Nuke Platinum >> IPB + Mods >> vBulletin >> b2Evolution >> Mambo >> MKPortal >> Scoop >> PostNuke >> Hand Coded Site >> Hand Coded CMS for SMF >> Finally back to SMF + TP

Those are just the ones I can remember, I've tried at least 20-30 CMS/Forum combinations and have YET to find one with the same level of support, community, access, updates, security, and friendliness that I've found here.

Some people I wager haven't tried the route I've taken, nor have seen the world of $60 themes, $140 >> $6,000 CMS software, poor support, atrocious help and FAQ, and generally non existant community help forums. The TP community is by far the exception and not the rule when it comes to CMS.

I feel very strongly that what you guys have put together here, while not the end all system for everyone, it is one of THE best run, managed, and most accessible groups of developers and admins I've seen. With people like Aku, StrmLrd, Xarcell, RR, G6, and everyone else who's helped this poor bloke out through the last year, it helps one's faith in humanity :)

Above all else tho, Bloc for providing a backbone for all of this to run off of, and tirelessly working to perfect a truly amazing CMS. So from myself and the thousands of web admins out there using this software, thank you guys for making our lives better, and the Internet as a whole less of a heaping pile of guano.

danka m8 I know I as well as everyone else appreciates that pat on the back because that is exactly why Im so involved with and pushing tp/smf elsewhere that I go.

"what comes around, goes around" is a saying I like to live by.

By that I mean that without discovering the great efforts put in the SMF software and community ( and YabbSE before that ) for free, I guess TP would never had come to life..not to mention the chance to set loose my oddball themes on the public lol. ;D

Crip

I have become comfortably numb!

Oddball is not the word. These themes are great, and once I can get my TP/SMF combo site working I'll probably be subscribing to the theme club. Please keep it up!

I am still surprised that such great software is free and with the best support I have seen for any product on the net.Ã,  That's not even mentioning the well design themes of which most are free or at a minimal price.

I have found the theme that suits my forum, the Artificial Intelligence theme by Stormy. Also, one I will always use at Halloween is the Haunted, which I requested and was not charge a cent for.Ã,

How can you devote so much to it and not charge at least a little something.

For TP? Same reasons why SMF is free basically. But I do get something back from the Themeshop, which is more than enough for me.

But primary its becasue I love doing this. :)

That I can understand, it is the same reason I put so much time into my site.
