In Downloads (//http://) there are already a full Chinese Simplified (//http://) and a not fully translated Chinese Traditional (http://www.tinyportal.net/smf/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item115) translation files.

i can  help  the  arabic members  by  email  ,  pm  ....  i can  speak  frensh  , arabic  , english  and  a  a  little  spanish   

tarik004 the Arabic SMF support board is not very active (810 messages so far).

Arabic as well as my language Greek don' t use latin characters. Thus with ISO-8859-1 codepage and latin-1 collation database characters will be stored as entities.

I am one of the moderators of the Greek SMF support board. It' s a bit more active (1547 messages) still I don' t ask Bloc for a Greek TP support board. I believe the members interested that can' t use english are not so many, so we have support for TP in the Greek SMF support board. There is an increasing interest but not so much for asking yet Bloc such a board.

Of course it' s up to Bloc to decide but, being in a similar situation, I believe it will be more useful at this moment to strengthen the Arabic SMF support board.

TP has increasing popularity that will be launched up after the release of the new version. There will be some surprises, I believe  :laugh: and  I am sure Bloc will do the necessary board additions when the right time comes  ;)

Dear agridoc, I think I can make the step to ask for a board in greek.

My point is, that many of us have SMF + TP and we could get more active, having a board here, too. For example, I just installed upgrades for SMF and TP, and I found the usual bugs for our language (and not only...). For the SMF part was easy. In 10-15 minutes I corrected all these tiny problems by reading previous posts in the SMF Greek board. For TP I had to read a lot of posts in english, to find a simple solution for a bug...

Language specific boards help us a lot. A simple FAQ and a few posts in our language some times are more helpful than a thousand posts in english...

And that counts for every other language. Greek is only an example.

I see that there are no major changes in the reasons that make me not to ask Bloc a Greek TP support board yet.

TP support in Greek language is given in Greek SMF support board, there are quite a few topics about TP there, but not so many yet.

And what is more important the same people will give support.

You have until now 2 messages here (not a question) and 21 in SMF. I have not seen a question of yours about TP not answered.

HM, really dont know, But create a new topic with a good headline and add the files and some explanation on how to make it work, and then i will stickuy that topic for you in this board.

Then IchBin or Bloc have to decide how to go from there.

Well you just install them like normal themes.
The only major difference is the RTL.

I have asked in the team bord about what to do with the themes you have translated.
So now we wait until Bloc or IchBin give a reply on what to do with them here :)

tiny portal... its great !!! many web use TP in indonesia, like me. meybe i can found the language pack here or try to make it..... TP is Great..... :2funny:

There is a tp_098_indonesia_UNTRANSLATED.zip (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=item710) file in Downloads, I believe it's based on an older indonesian translation by FBI (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=2225.msg20376#msg20376). FBI should be contacted for a combined approach.

There ia quite some work to be done and please take notice of my TP 0.9.8 language files and errors  (http://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=17198.0) message, as some errors exist in the UNTRANSLATED language files.

Bueno, pero lo podriamos utilizar para intercambiar nuestros conocimientos, por leves que sean sobre la materia, siempre nos puede venir bien a la gente que empezamos con Tiny y poco a poco ir aprendiendo y enseñando, pero claro si no hay un subforo en español no hay orden y usuarios hispanos parlantes creo que hay muchos, habrian más todavia si tuviesemos un subforo dedicado.

Pero tienes razón con lo de "alguien que hable español y sepa todo necesario de TP", igual dentro de un tiempo no muy lejano, a ver si tenemos suerte y lo ponen.

Aunque eso si, si no esta un poco organizado en un subforo, esto puede ser una locura. Yo por mi parte, Sql 80% y php.. un poquito.

You are proposing your site for Arabic TP support and the TP Team to promote it. However TP is not even installed there. Also an official Arabic SMF support board (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=71.0) exists in http://www.simplemachines.org/.

ATM there isn't any good reason why your site should be listed as official arabic TP site, especially since its not using TP.

We might add arabic child board here, but the problem is having members that can moderate it, since few of us speak arabic.
