Title: Make It Snow!
Post by: Skhilled on December 21, 2014, 01:27:10 PM
How would you like it to snow on your site and more? Leaves falling for Autumn, bats flying for Halloween, Christmas Lights, or even add your own images!

Yeah it is supposed to be, but it's not working for me either.  (on Ken's site I mean).  ;)

You should/supposed to be able to see the flakes falling down the entire page.

I agree, it's been one of my favourite Christmas themes for a couple of years now.  I use it here, http://guitaristguild.com although I hate it being so narrow, especially when using a portal, so widened it up a bit, and added some extras, lol..

You got the code in a block Ken?  Is the block viewable to guests?

You may need to be logged in to see it Mick because I think there is a switch in your profile to turn it off and on.

Sorry for the delay Mick, it's back on now.
It was temporarily off because of all the .ru spammers trying to sign up.

Mick, it's put together in an SMF Package and installs with controls placed in the 'Modifications' section of the Admin control panel.
It can be found here ... http://web-develop.ca/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=6

Nope, no portal is needed. It is a full mod.

I've got leaves falling on my site, atm.

You really believe that picture on your front page Skhilled of that little boy wearing the Trayvon Martin shirt?

This topic has nothing to do with that but...

I have seen police do many illegal things in my life including shooting unarmed people but get away with it because we are black. But we are also Americans and if people claim to be patriotic then we need to stand up for ALL americans...not just the certain races or religions, etc. When police are prosecuted and put into jail for committing crimes with the other criminals then this will stop.

What does that have to to with Treyvon Martian? He wasn't shot by a cop, he was shot by his mugging victim.

This isn't a political topic (or forum) so we might all be better served if we returned to the original subject matter.

Sorry, I didn't mean to derail the topic. And certainly don't want to start any arguments here. My problem is the hijacking of events by media agenda in this country, when the event has nothing to do with what the problem really is.  The picture isn't there now on Skhilled's site, and I don't remember exactly what it said. But at the time, it seemed to completely miss the point of what's going on to me.  The only legitimate "major" media event lately IMHO is the NY Garner case with the man getting choked to death. Both Brown and Martin seemed to be situations where what happened is the result of their own actions. The political use of Brown's and Martin's case have made me want to puke.  However, the Garner case seems to seriously be messed up.

I agree, we need to stand up for all life no matter the race or creed. I just feel the media are taking the conversation in the wrong direction too often with the wrong information. That picture seemed to say that to me. Which is why I asked the questions. Sorry to ruffle any feathers.

Back on topic if you want - we finally got some snow here. Was expecting 4-8 inches, but we only got about 2-3 I think. Nice to have a white Christmas though! :D  These javascript snow effect things are fun. I don't have a site that I use to put it on though. :(
