https://acrossthemiles.net/index.php?page=5 is one of the effected pages, correct?

find .tp_textcomment .body { in tp-style.css and add color: #FFFFFFFF; before the closing }

you may need to clear your cache on your browser and the minified files on the server to see the change.

Hi. I'm using TP on a hobby/social site. I have comments for articles turned on, but the background of the comments are almost the same color as the text (see the attached). I can't find where to change that in the css files. I'm not sure if it's in the theme files or TP files. Can anyone point me to which file (and possibly line number) where I can change the comment background color to something much darker than the text?

Thanks.

Chit chat / Re: Frontpage Layout
Last post by @rjen - November 08, 2025, 08:34:05 PM
Hi, I am afraid the answer is no.

The page is basically built up in two columns, with the content divided per column: the orientation is vertical from the ground up. There is no option to make the flow work the way you are asking...

Hi. I wasn't sure where else to ask this. I have a forum that I use for news and current events. I have the frontpage set to show all forum topics sorted on date. I selected "D" for the layout so it shows two columns of topics. The issue I have is that it displays them chronologically in the first column first, then rolls over to the second column. This means a topic may be a day or two old and it pops back up at the top of the forum in the second column.

Is there a way to set it so that the layout displays left to right instead of vertically?

Chit chat / Block Scheduling
Last post by Sledge - October 28, 2025, 05:35:44 PM
Hi. I have a forum using TP for an Undernet IRC channel. The channel has a radio station with DJs almost nightly. I have several blocks that advertise the current DJ, but I have to manually turn them on and off. I know there is no feature or mod for TP that allows blocks to be scheduled, but I was wondering if there was a way to script in each block whether or not it displays the content.

My idea is to use a HTML or PHP block with the contents I want displayed, but add some code at the top of each block that if requirements for a certain day/time aren't met, it will ignore the rest of the block (and not show the contents). This way I can leave the blocks on, but the contents won't display except in the prescribed time frame.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and how to code it?
