Session Time Limit / Download Mng.

Did a search and couldn't find anything regarding this.. although I'm very new and may miss the obvious.

People will be uploading files 60-80Megs on my site.  Phpbb2 (which have used until now) times out the session before the files are uploaded and thus they're dropped.  Was wondering if the 'User online time threshold' in SMF is the actual page session time limit, and if so, will changing that allow for the length of time required to upload large files (1-2hrs for some ppl).
