I just updated SMF to latest version and it uninstalled all my mods. So came here for latest version (was using an old version) and now it's showing random posts beneath the shout box on the home page with no option to delete it in the manage blocks section, it's not even listed, is there something I'm missing in how to turn that off?

@rjen

Random posts? Maybe you set the frontpage tp show topics?

Check the setting under Tinyportal > Settings , frontpage : what to display on frontpage...

Can you share a link to your forum?

Hi Kim

Also, what version of TinyPortal were you using before the upgrade?

Not sure about the version I've had it that long, I'd say from over a year ago?

Have looked under topics and it has "Forum-topics and articles - sorted on date" ticked

EDIT: I've sorted it, thanks for pointing out where I needed to look  ;)

Glad @rjen pointed you in the right direction, and it sorted the issue.  O0

I'm still curious as to why upgrading to TP 1.6.4 changed your front page settings, it shouldn't have done that at all.

I'm assuming because all your mods got uninstalled you upgraded manually using the large upgrade package from the SMF downloads page?

Kim

I've no idea, I've never had that option checked before lol
I downloaded TP from here
Anyway, thanks again guys, I love TP  :-*

Is it possible, if the OP changed from SMF 2.0 to 2.1
Mods getting uninstalled looks like that was the switch.

SMF 2.1.4 / TP 3.0.1

@rjen

Guess not : the site is at 2.0.17....
