SMF version: 2.1 RC1 (girhub update from about two days ago)
TP version: 1.6.1
Default Forum Language: English
Theme name and version: Default - Curve2
Browser Name and Version: any and all.
Mods installed: only TP.
Related Error messages: After installing TP I immediately began to get the following error messages, even though I was not actually using the shoutbox (and nor was anyone else)

I've now disabled Shoutbox and these errors are STILL occurring.

Caused by recent changes in the 2.1 code. Already fixed in TP1.6.2, but we are awaiting the finalization of RC1 by SMF team before releasing 1.6.2...
Faire enough but considering we don't know how far away that might be...it may be worth releasing it and then can simply iterate it again if any more changes are required when RC1 is formally / publicly released.

As you are already in the, now defunct Responsive beta test group, and this stuff is now standard in all later versions, best way would be to add you to the beta group, You are testing 2.1 and TP anyway. So welcome to our beta group, you'll find 1.6.2 attached to the first post here, https://www.tinyportal.net/index.php?topic=36198.msg295499#msg295499
Remember to uninstall TP 1.6.1 first, then install TP 1.6.2.
The problem with releasing 1.6.2 now is that SMF are still making substantial changes to smilies and also some other sections. As they keep changing or reverting logic it isn't practical to keep releasing TinyPortal. If you want the latest then the GitHub master branch will always be where we are and you can download that and install at any point should you so wish. The same way RC1 is currently available.
