How do i upgrade an old version of TP to a newer version. Do uninstall from packages, then install the new one?

Will doing the above loose all TP settings/informations etc?

G6Cad

you should be able to install it through the package manager with out uninstalling the old one, but we recomend to unsinstall before installing the new package.

OOPS!!
I uninstalled tp and then reinstalled it. But now there is no tp to see. Says it is installed but it's not in admin and not anywhere just the forum is visisble now. Could someone please help me to fix this

G6Cad

Dont hijack thread, start your own with your issue.
Or better off, read in the install board and the topics there, you will have the answers there.

so if i uninstall will i loose previous informatoin and settings?

G6Cad

Nope, the tables in the database will still be there with all the info and content you have put in.
So you are safe to uninstall TP and reinstall it when ever you feel like it  :D
