I see a few threads lately where people have asked how to remove the TinyPortal copyright info.

The TP team responded to a number of these questions by implementing a very inexpensive fee for removal option.

My question to those who asked, though, is..

What are your reasons for wanting to remove the copyright info?

I'm not having a go at anyone, just curious, as I can't think of any reason I would.

Some people might do it to obscure what software they are running. Whilst we don't encourage that they can do it now, although you can still find it out easily enough if you know what you're doing.

Other's have their own reasons, all the money received goes towards the hosting costs of this site, so indirectly supports it. We would prefer however the software to be advertised.

Doesn't quite answer your question but does answer why we implemented this option.
